What is Transit of Venus?
The Sun, Venus and Earth would be aligned along one line during the transit. Venus will be seen as a black dot nearly 1/32 size of the sun's disc, which will slowly move across the sun. Last time the event occurred in 2004. After June 6, 2012, next Transit of Venus will take place only 2117.

The entire event of the transit of Venus will be visible from eastern Australia ,New Zealand , New Guniea, the Philippines , northern Asia, eastern China ,Korea , Japan , the islands of the western Pacific Ocean , Hawaii , Russia ,Alaska and north-west Canada .
The transit is visible at Sunrise in Gulf, UAE, India , Nepal , Singapore andMalaysia .
The transit is visible during sunset along the pacific coast of United States .
Safe Viewing
The transit of Venus should not be viewed with naked eye or through exposed x-ray sheets.
Goggles suitable for solar viewing should be used to watch the transit.
The best method to watch this celestial phenomenon is to project the sun's image through a telescope on a screen or a on a wall or one can use a pin whole camera arrangement to watch it.
All binoculars and telescopes must be suitably equipped with adequate filtration to ensure safe solar viewing.
